Great news for pets in Roslyn and across Dunedin as fireworks do scare many pets! The loud, unpredictable bangs and flashes cause significant stress, anxiety, and even panic in dogs, cats, and other animals their hearing is much more sensitive than ours, making the noises painfully intense. With no fireworks at the event, our furry friends and local wildlife will have a much calmer, quieter night ideal for staying cosy at home.

Wishing you and your pets all a safe, happy, and wonderful New Year in Roslyn.
